Unlucky Chinese New Year's Eve

On Chinese New Year's Eve, we departed around 10:45am to go back to hometown to celebrate with family.

During on the highway back to hometown, my brother's car broke down on the middle of paying toll fee at Karak Toll Station. The car did not move at all, we have to push the car to the side of the highway to take a look.

My brother said that it was the left drive shaft loose. I did not know what is he talking about. I just know that the car could not move at all. My brother put a tyre stopper at one side of rear tyre and raised the car up to fix the drive shaft. Since my brother did not have complete equipments to fix it, he have to put the drive shaft back to the place and then went to find car mechanic to fix it. The nearest place was Bentong, so we decided to drive slowly to there.

After we hopped in the car and drive almost one kilometres from the place we stopped. My brother asked me did I kept the tyre stopper, I asked him back what is that. We just realised that we totally forgot it and left it at the highway. I think it was crying there and shouted "Oh no!! You guys forget me!!"

When we enter Bentong, we drove very slow and look both side to find car workshop. Suddenly, I saw a very bright light in front of my eyes -- I saw a car workshop in front of me. So, I asked my brother whether want to go to that workshop. Just after I asked him, the drive shaft loose again. My brother quickly pull the car at the road side and put double signer since there were cars behind us. Then, my brother crossed the road and went to ask for help. Luckily the workshop still not yet close, and they promised to help us fixed the car.

The mechanic helped us take a look and starting to disassemble the tyre and others things. Then took out the drive shaft and found out there was a pin (just a small ring) which hold the whole thing together was missing. The mechanic went to buy the pin and put it back to the place where it used to be. After finish fixing, he went to test the car to make sure that the drive shaft would not loose out again. Then, we thanks him for the help and continued our journey.

I called my mother to let her know that we going to be late for Reunion Dinner.

Normally the journey took around 8 hours to arrive but this time it took us around 11 hours to arrive home. It was very tired.
